So relieved

I was so worried that I was injured on Monday and Tuesday. To fit everything in (had my TMA to hand in), I thought I would run home from work.

Within minutes my back was hurting. Lower left hand side, like a stitch. I was so disappointed and worried as I didn't even make it to Herne Hill and it was all downhill. Not even 2 miles.

Then I got told off (nicely) trying to get into the station and then again for taking this photograph of Andrew Garfield filming a Romcom.

I had put on some tape and knee supports so I thought it must have been extra strain on my back. In the toilets on the train (thankfully not one of the new style toilets without toilets) and took it all off. It took me an age to put it all on, take my keys off my keyring (less weight) etc! Took home my Gym card instead of my Oyster!

Thought I would try again Tuesday. This time no supports, worse than the day before. Less than a mile and then I had to limp to the train station. Spoke to my husband and best friend, both just agreed with my excuses to keep me calm. Had a warm bath and hoped for the best.

Yesterday I didn't go into work and run instead. Deliberately chose a flat route to Crittals Corner and then Green St Green. Close to bus stops if I need to stop.  Almost immediately the pain started! I read on-line to try and run it off. I thought I would give it ago as I'm usually in pain for the first 3 miles and then it just disappeared. I couldn't believe it! Run 17.3 miles. By the time I got back to Carlton Parade, I started talking to Bob, who lives near by.

You can see how much pain I was due to my speed in mile 2. Obviously paid for a fast mile 11 looking at mile 13 although it looks as though it was a steady rise. I think my back and hamstrings are just so tight that is causing pain in my left side.

So pleased though!

My assignment has been sent off now too!

Tomorrow 50 minutes I think!
