Less than 3 weeks

So last Sunday, I had a bad run. I was meant to run 16-18 miles however my mind and body were not on the same wavelength. I had a lot to do that weekend and the weather was windy and very wet. I had a shooting pain, similar to shin splints, but in my actual left knee. Every couple of minutes, it would hurt. 

I was running a long way around to my best friend's house and was amazed I got up a couple of hills that I use to hate. Then at Old Bexley, the path was waterlogged and slippery. By the time I had run 15 minutes in that, my leg was really hurting.  At 9 miles, I was drenched including my feet and then two cars drenched me so I gave up! I was so angry, not at anyone in particular just angry.


Thankfully I have managed two runs since then and have been fine! 

Wednesday morning
50 minutes run
Saturday morning
I ordered some new insoles that I saw on FB. So I brought Enertor compression socks and insoles. I also wore my new running trainers. Together they felt really good. My ankles and calves did not hurt, only felt the occasional soreness in my thighs. Ran for 40 minutes. Faster 5k too (from this time running). 

Then I went to Body Pump and Body Balance. New releases. Really enjoyed the sessions. Will try and get to Tuesday and Wednesday sessions. 

Yesterday I was concentrating on my Uni work so other than putting the washing out, I didn't move. Today, I'm hoping to complete the last long run of my training!
