The London Marathon - miles 16 - 20

Then I ran off down West Ferry Road, up East Ferry Road and back onto West Ferry Road to turn into right again (16, 17, 18).  It is getting tougher now, there are still people cheering you on, music playing but I knew that I was coming up to the furthest distance I had run. Just thought of Harry and smiled.

2:59pm and the Emergency Alert goes off while I'm in another Portaloo. The first one a guy was coming out of and he said there was no toilet paper. No problem, I have some. What he actually meant to say was he had sprayed the toilet seat and couldn't wipe it! 🙄

Mile 18

I started looking out for my Best Friend and Godchildren as I knew they were planning to be around mile 18. I see my best friend Sarah standing on something looking for me as I am under her nose!  Andrew has to tell her that I was there and she came running over.  It was so lovely to see them then all.  Sarah said that she had been sending messages to me of encouragement and I pointed to the glasses I wasn't wearing!  Rachel had come from Uni as well.

Yeah she likes to make me cry! So do the girls 😅

Shortly after I see Tom and family again.  This time I ask for gel for my right arm.  It has been hurting since I hurt my shoulder and neck last week sleeping funny and Tommy squirted out too much so I had it on both arms!

Mile 19 - Canada Square

There she is...

Where?

Lisa!  Lisa!

I saw my friends from work Sian and Michelle and run over to them.  So chuffed that they came to see me.  Michelle filmed the whole conversation.  They said I look good, I replied that I didn't smell it!   I said it was Sian's fault, that we had the photo for Class Dojo and I am not doing it again!

(In October, we took the children to the Mini Marathon and the much younger teachers ran with them and I couldn't even run a mile!  So being all or nothing, I thought I would do 26.2 miles instead.  However, it meant that I couldn't run the Mini Marathon on the Saturday!),
